Hello! This is going to be my review and thoughts on the Urban Decay
Naked 2 Palette. I own both the original Naked and Naked 2. The price of Naked 2 is $50.
I can honestly say I love both. I use both palettes almost everyday. Naked 2 has a lot more lighter colors than the original Naked. That's probably the biggest difference between the too.
Ok, so lets talk about the packaging. If your familiar with the original Naked the case is in a chocolate brown velvet case. Which is pretty neat and different, but I can't say its the best packaging because eventually the letters "Naked" start to rub off and of course it gets really dirty because everything sticks to it. This time Naked 2 is in an aluminum case and its also snaps shut. You also get a sample size of Urban Decay's lip junkie in the color Naked (this is a plumping lipgloss).
The colors of Naked 2 include lots of taupes. It has one repeated color from the original Naked in the color Half Baked which is a gold shade. Just like the original Naked; Naked 2 includes 5 new shades, and 3 matte shades.
This time the palette also includes a duo-ended brush one side is a blending crease brush and the other side is a flat shader brush. How awesome is that???
Here are the swatches of Naked 2. The colors include: Foxy (a matte cream colored highlighter), Half Baked (a gold shade), Bootycall (a shimmery beige light peachy highlighter shade), Chopper (an orangey copper color with glitter), Tease (a matte mauve), Snakebite (a deep brown with golden shimmer), Suspect (a frosted champagne), Pistol (a dark gray with slight brown shimmer), Verve (a silver beige), YDK ( a copper toned brown), Busted (a deep burgundy-brown looks almost purple), and Blackout (a matte black).
In conclusion, this palette is amazing the colors are very soft and blendable. It's definitely got great pigmentation besides the color foxy it doesn't really show up on my skin tone. I had to swatch it a lot for it to show up. Be very careful with the black it's extremely pigmented a dab with your brush should do it. My favorite shades would be tease, verve, and YDK. I wouldn't say you need both palettes being that the shades are quite similar. You would just have to decide if you want more lighter shades or more deeper shades which would be the original Naked.
Thanks for reading!
