NYX Liquid Crystal Liners

I have a few NYX crystal liners I would like to review and swatch for you today. These are super pigmented liners with tons of glitter. I feel these are definitely comparable to the Urban Decay heavy metal glitter liners but a cheaper alternative! These can be worn on their own or even on top of a colored liner for more color base intensity. They have more shades too! The colors I own are crystal silk, crystal pewter, crystal gold, and crystal pink.

Crystal liner in Silk

Crystal liner in Gold
Swatches top to bottom: Silk, Pewter, Pink, Gold

If you have anything you would like me to review or a blog post idea you would like to see just let me know! Thanks again! :)
The Final Verdict: A- If you love glitter as much as me these are a must have! The price is around $4.50. You can find these liners at Ulta, some Targets, Cherry Culture and NYX cosmetics.

Eye Makeup Tips

Hello hope your all doing well! This post is just going to cover my 5 tips when doing your eye makeup! Hope you find this useful if you have any more questions just leave a comment below. Thanks for reading!

Tip #1- Cream eye shadows are known to crease so when applying cream eye shadows always set with a powder eyeshadow. It makes your eyeshadow last longer and keeps it from creasing. Think of the cream eyeshadow as a base. Don't forget to still apply an eyeshadow primer!

Tip #2- When you apply mascara use 2-3 coats to make your lashes appear longer and fuller. You can even try using 2-3 different mascara combinations to achieve a certain dramatic look. But be careful when using lengthening fiber mascaras they tend to get clumpy so if your using a mascara that has those little fibers use only that or use last after a first coat of a different mascara.

Tip #3- Eyebrows is one of my most important make-up steps. I find that filling them in makes a huge difference and really helps with framing your face. You can use a matte eyeshadow or eyebrow pencil. When choosing a shade always go 2-3 shades lighter than your eyebrow color and and if you have light color eyebrows always chose a color 2-3 shades darker. That way your eyebrows will still look natural and not harsh.

Tip #4- If you feel like doing a natural eye makeup look but still want your eyes to stand out and be the focal point of your face try doing a more dramatic winged eyeliner. The easiest eyeliner to use when doing a winged liner would be a liquid liner you can be very precise. My favorite liquid liners are the ones that look like a marker with a felt tip, this type of liquid liner is great for beginners and you have more control when doing winged looks.

Tip #5- If you have any fallout after applying your eyeshadow tap a big fluffy brush into a loose translucent powder and dust the fallout away. You can even stipple the translucent powder under your eyes and above your cheek bones before doing your eye makeup and just lightly dust it away after you finish doing your eyeshadow.

March Favorites

Hey everyone! This is my favorite most used products from last month. Hope you find this useful. If you have any questions about any of the products just leave a comment below. Thanks again for reading and please subscribe/follow! =)

1.) Sebastian Shaper Hairspray- This hairspray is awesome! Holds very well and doesn't make your hair crunchy, so your hair still has movement.

2.) Urban decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil- in the color perversion. This is one of their newest shades. It's a very dark black. A lot darker black then the original black in Zero. I love this eyeliner I use it everyday and it works very well on the waterline too.

3.) Macadamia leave in cream- This stuff smells amazing =) and makes my hair very soft!

4.) NYX matte bronzer- This is one of their newest products. I use this as my everyday contouring bronzer. They have 3 shades; light, medium, and dark. The color I have is light. I really like that they have different shades instead of just one color for all skin tones.

(in this picture the left of my hand is the swatch not blended and on the right of my hand the swatch is blended and you can see its not overly shimmery at all)
5.) Benefit high beam- This is just the travel size but I love it so much that I will be buying the full size =) I really like that it looks so shimmery when u first put it on and after u blend it turns into just a really soft glow and its not crazy shimmery as you think it would be from how it looks in the bottle. My favorite highlighter of all time!

6.) Laura Geller spackle face primer- This is a good primer its a 2oz bottle and 1 pump is enough for my face.

7.) Sonia Kashuk bent eyeliner brush- LOVE THIS EYELINER BRUSH. I use this with my gel eyeliner. The brush density is perfect for applying a straight line and with it being small you can make your line as thin or thick as you want.

8.) Purity made simple facial cleanser- I use this to remove my makeup. I've never had another facial cleanser that can remove my make-up so well. Unfortunately its so expensive, so I might need to find an alternative. If any of you know of a good makeup cleanser that could be an alternative to this product just let me know below thanks!

Cherry Culture/Ulta haul

Hello! Cherry Culture had a 20% off deal so I decided to place an order on their website. I also made a run to Ulta and got a few more things.

Ok so here we have mostly NYX products like the cream blush, HD grinding blush, 2 nail polishes, 3 round lipsticks, mega shine lipgloss, jumbo eye pencil, mascara, and lip liner. And I also bought the beauty blender, Macadamia healing oil treatment, and Milani baked blush.

Beauty Blender- I already own one but it was time for a new one. With the 20% coupon code I was able to buy two of them for the price of one. I absolutely can't live without this. It give such a flawless airbrush coverage.

NYX Cream Blush- in the color Glow. A very pigment blush. its a deep matte pink. Love this cream blush, I will definitely be purchasing more :)

NYX HD Grinding Blush- in the color Sangria in Madrid. This blush is pretty neat! You actually twist the top and it actually grinds it. This blush is very silky smooth and blends very well!

Milani Baked Blush- in the color Rose D'Oro. This one is my favorite colored blush from this haul. This is a peach shade with gold and pink shimmer. This blush is also very pigmented a dab of the brush applies a lot of color.

NYX Girls Nail Polish- in the color Pistachio. It's a light baby blue.

NYX Girls Nail Polish- in the color Lapis. It's a purple/blue shade.

NYX Lip Liner Pencil- in the color Rose. This is a barbie pink shade.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil-  in the color iced mocha. I like to use this as an eyeshadow base. Love this color!

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment- This stuff works amazing. I pair it with the Macadamia Oil leave in cream. Smells good too =)

NYX Provocateur Mascara- This mascara has 2 levels with one brush. You twist the top (level 1) and less product gets on the brush so this part is ideal for your bottom lashes and you twist the bottom (level 2) which is ideal for your top lashes.

NYX Mega Shine Lip gloss- in the shade La-La. A gorgeous hot pink shade! And the scent of lipgloss smells awesome! Smells like candy!

NYX Round Lipsticks- in the shades Femme, Gem, and Margarita. Femme is a bright coral with no shimmer. Gem is a hot pink w/shimmer, and Margarita is lighter coral shade w/shimmer. Perfect Spring and Summer shades!

Review: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Hello! This is going to be my review and thoughts on the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I own both the original Naked and Naked 2. The price of Naked 2 is $50.

I can honestly say I love both. I use both palettes almost everyday. Naked 2 has a lot more lighter colors than the original Naked. That's probably the biggest difference between the too.

Ok, so lets talk about the packaging. If your familiar with the original Naked the case is in a chocolate brown velvet case. Which is pretty neat and different, but I can't say its the best packaging because eventually the letters "Naked" start to rub off and of course it gets really dirty because everything sticks to it. This time Naked 2 is in an aluminum case and its also snaps shut. You also get a sample size of Urban Decay's lip junkie in the color Naked (this is a plumping lipgloss).

The colors of Naked 2 include lots of taupes. It has one repeated color from the original Naked in the color Half Baked which is a gold shade. Just like the original Naked; Naked 2 includes 5 new shades, and 3 matte shades.

This time the palette also includes a duo-ended brush one side is a blending crease brush and the other side is a flat shader brush. How awesome is that???

Here are the swatches of Naked 2. The colors include: Foxy (a matte cream colored highlighter), Half Baked (a gold shade), Bootycall (a shimmery beige light peachy highlighter shade), Chopper (an orangey copper color with glitter), Tease (a matte mauve), Snakebite (a deep brown with golden shimmer), Suspect (a frosted champagne), Pistol (a dark gray with slight brown shimmer), Verve (a silver beige), YDK ( a copper toned brown), Busted (a deep burgundy-brown looks almost purple), and Blackout (a matte black).

In conclusion, this palette is amazing the colors are very soft and blendable. It's definitely got great pigmentation besides the color foxy it doesn't really show up on my skin tone. I had to swatch it a lot for it to show up. Be very careful with the black it's extremely pigmented a dab with your brush should do it. My favorite shades would be tease, verve, and YDK. I wouldn't say you need both palettes being that the shades are quite similar. You would just have to decide if you want more lighter shades or more deeper shades which would be the original Naked.
